7/31/2011 -

We have had excellent support from Master Gardeners
and other volunteers so far.  Of course we never really know who is going to come,
but we have yet to have so many as to need to send some home!!

I've updated the Pictures, and will add to the Fencing and Irrigation sections.

6/29/2011 - Things are growing very nicely - the corn is way more than
knee-high, and it isn't even July!  We've harvested over 5 pounds of strawberries,
the raspberry new growth is ready to be tipped, peas are showing up
on the trellising, and we picked our first zucchini.

6/13/2011 - We are moving right along with weeding (actually cutting out the grass that invades the beds),
putting emmiters on the irrigation system, finishing up the trellising for climbers,
and actually doing a bit of harvesting.  The strawberries are beautiful as well
as plentiful.  Here is Odette showing her day's pickings:

4/19/2011 - Today Kyle and Jeremy from Lawrence Tech helped out
by spreading compost on the remailning planting beds.
Since the weather has been so winterish we'll probably have to wait
another week or two to plant.

3/27/2011 - We had the first workday of the year today at Emmanuel.  We'll be doing
Sundays from 1 to 4, and beginning April 20, Wednesdays, 3 to 6.
Although it was a bit chilly, the sun shone brightly and we were comfortable.  In
preparation for the season the compost beds were rearranged a bit, and we removed
some of it to cover a paper layer in what will be the corn stand.

This is a Harvest Basket put together entirely from Farm pickings in late August, 2010.

We have started a new program, "The Garden at St.
David's".  2011 will be its second season after a very
productive first year.
